Reformation of National Child Advocates Council

It is necessary to create free space to express children their opinion in independent manner from local to national level. Children have right to exercise their right to freedom as well as best interest of child. Hence, National Child Advocates is the platform where children can develop their self-confidence and empower themselves to speak up their voice in participatory approach.  The main objectives of formation of NCAC is to identify the issues related to child rights and child protection at local and community level and draw the attention of relevant agencies, presenting representatives views and opinions from the children’s perspective on decisions and policy questions regarding children at various levels of the state and conducting, strengthening and expanding the democratic platform for children’s civil practice at the same level.  

In this connection, new NCAC member has been reformed for two years of working period.  Children from seven provinces were selected as a National Child Advocate Council Member through open call. Manjila Acharya and Amit Mandal are selected from Koshi province, Rajnandani Chaudhary ,Lalit Kumar Mahato and Anuradha Kumari Paswan were selected from Madesh Province, Prekshya Adhikari, Swostika Sharma Pathak, Dipesh Singh Thakuri, Ashutosh Karki and Ranjita Thapa were selected from Bagmati Province, Alisha Panthi and Avishekh Paudel were selected from Gandaki Province, Sima Chaudary was selected from Lumbini Province, Bhumika Shahi and Mishan Adhikari were selected from Karnali Province and Sandhya Sunar and Raju Luhar were selected from Sudur Paschim Province. The members of NCAC were appointed for two years.
