Reformation of National Child Advocate Council Members Successfully Concluded

Consortium Nepal organized a three-day Reformation and Capacity Building Program for 19 members of the National Child Advocate Council (NCAC) from 19–21 April 2026 in Lalitpur. The program focused on reformation and strengthening NCAC’s institutional structure, enhancing the leadership and advocacy capacities of child advocates, and developing a strategic roadmap to guide future child-led initiatives. It also provided a collaborative platform for participants to reflect on NCAC’s role in promoting meaningful child participation and advancing children’s rights across Nepal.

Through interactive discussions, practical exercises, and experience-sharing sessions, participants enhanced their knowledge of child rights, advocacy, digital rights, child participation, and engagement with government stakeholders. The workshop featured sessions on stakeholder mapping, SWOT analysis, child-led research, communication and media skills, campaign design, leadership development, and action planning, equipping members with practical tools to identify child rights priorities and develop effective advocacy strategies. By fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and meaningful participation, the program strengthened NCAC members’ confidence and leadership, empowering them to amplify children’s voices in decision-making processes and contribute to building a more inclusive, child-friendly, and rights-based society.
