Interaction Program among Political parties, Civil Society and Children organized on the occasion of Child Participation Day 2083!

A discussion and interaction program among political parties, civil society organizations, and children was successfully held on the occasion of National Child Participation Day 2083. The program was organized by the National Child Advocate Council and Consortium Nepal, with solidarity and participation from various networks working in different thematic areas of child rights.

Held under the chief guestship of the Honorable Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission, the program played a significant role in recognizing children as active partners in the present and in bringing their voices, experiences, and concerns into political discourse. During the interaction, children emphasized that child rights and meaningful child participation should be prioritized and integrated into the agendas of political parties.

Representatives of Nepal’s major political parties acknowledged that child rights have long been an important issue and expressed their commitment to further advancing child rights and meaningful child participation with greater priority and effectiveness in the days ahead.
