Collaboration Meeting with Board Members and NCAC Members

The NCAC Collaborative Meeting brought together board members, the secretariat team, and members of the National Child Advocate Council (NCAC) on 21 June 2026 at Alfa House, Kathmandu, to strengthen collaboration and enhance the effectiveness of NCAC. The meeting served as a platform for meaningful dialogue, enabling board members and child representatives to jointly reflect on NCAC’s progress and identify priorities for its future development.

A key focus of the meeting was the review and refinement of the NCAC Guideline. Participants discussed ways to strengthen governance, clarify roles and responsibilities, improve communication and accountability, and incorporate emerging child rights issues such as civic space and digital participation. The collaborative process of reviewing the guideline with both NCAC members and board members helped enhance its clarity, relevance, and practicality, ensuring that it aligns with current policies, evidence, and implementation needs.

The session also included an orientation on SWOT analysis, introducing participants to its importance as a strategic planning tool before conducting an organizational assessment of NCAC. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to finalize the revised guideline, strengthen child-led leadership and coordination, and continue promoting meaningful child participation in advocacy and decision-making processes.
