Consortium Nepal successfully organized a three-day Capacity Building Workshop and Baal Bhela for members of the National Child Rights Advocate Council (NCAC) from 23–25 May 2026. Bringing together child rights advocates and child representatives from across Nepal, the workshop strengthened participants’ leadership, advocacy, and understanding of child rights, child protection, child participation, and inclusive governance. The event also served as a federal-level Baal Bhela, a pre-budget consultation, and a platform for children to share recommendations on Ending Violence Against Children (EVAC).
Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and child-led activities, participants explored key issues including child protection, inclusive education, LGBTIQA+ inclusion, child-led research, and children’s participation in policy and budgeting processes. The workshop concluded with child-led recommendations for policymakers and a renewed commitment to promoting meaningful child participation, inclusive development, and a safer, violence-free environment for every child in Nepal.
