Hatemalo Sanchar is a non-profit making and non-government social organization in Nepal. It is dedicated and committed for the promotion and realization of children's rights by empowering the children to participate in the matter affecting their lives and enabling them to intervene positive changes around them. In addition, Hatemalo promotes children's rights by sensitizing all the stakeholders about their responsibilities and obligations towards children.
Hatemalo Sanchar was established as an NGO in 1994 by a concerned group of media journalists, writers and children involved in the promotion of the Rights of child through Mass Media. Hatemalo's history goes back  to the year 1982 when a group of media journalists came together to initiate a radio program for the children with an appeal for their help to bring in change in the quality of life of the children with disabilities. As Nepal ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1990, Hatemalo group took the responsibility of dissemination of the information on the principles and provision of the convention as well as advocating for the rights of the children of Nepal through its Radio program Hatemalo (Hand-in-Hand).
Hatemalo's mass media advocacy approach went beyond the sphere of radio broadcast to publication to make children aware of their rights and the issues affecting the lives of children of Nepal. Hatemalo, establishing itself as an independent NGO of Nepal, has gradually widened itself capacity of child rights advocacy by forming child club in the year 1995 with the initiation of the children involved in Radio Program and magazine production. The strength of the child club has grown over the years considerably and has got several branches of Hatemalo Child Club with its central Child Club in Hatemalo office premises.
