The objective is to develop 'a National Policy-Framework on Participation of CYP' in consultations with key government Ministries/Department and child focused organizations as well as CYP themselves and get it endorsed formally by the Government of Nepal. The national policy framework would reinforce participation of CYP by providing guiding principles and contextual framework for programme work especially for the use of key government ministries/ departments and child focused organizations and stakeholders. The policy document offers strategies and mechanisms for mainstream and institutionalization of participation of CYP. The document aims at defining key quality elements, processes and basic indicators for promoting meaningful and ethical participation of CYP. In this context UNICEF/Nepal, Save the Children In Nepal, Plan Nepal, World Vision International and the Consortium of Organizations Working for Children's Participation have agreed to work together to further promote the participation of CYP.

8. CA Advocacy.
Save the Children in Nepal, Plan Nepal, World Vision International Nepal, UNICEF, Consortium, CZOP and other child rights organization  have been working collaboratively for the participation of children and youths in the decision making level since long ago. We have been working through advocacy for incorporating Children’s Agenda/ Issues in New Constitution of Nepal by various activities to empower children for their participation, development and well-being. There exist more than 10 thousand child clubs mobilizing to make realization of their rights in Nepal.  As a result such groups could influence political parties to incorporate their issues in political manifestos.  Similarly, there is a very positive achievement that 32 political parties including 7 political parties expressed their joint commitment to address the issues as possible in new constitution. Similarly, the Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2063 also acknowledge the children’s right as fundamental rights.
